Adrian Thummerer completed his BSc and MSc in Technical Physics and Biomedical Engineering at Technical University of Vienna (AT) in 2018. For his master’s thesis, he conducted research in the field of proton therapy dosimetry at the Medical University of Vienna and at MedAustron, Wiener Neustadt (AT). For his PhD he joined the Radiation Oncology Department at the University Medical Center Groningen (NL) and graduated 2023 with a thesis on deep learning in adaptive proton therapy. He co-organizes the synthRAD challenge.
