Xiaojie Hu obtained his BSc in Geophysics from Yunnan University in 2023 and is currently pursuing his PhD at Beihang University (BUAA), with a research focus on medical physics. He joined the LMU ART Lab as a visiting PhD student in 2026. His PhD research focuses on deep learning-based synthetic MRI generation from CT for image-guided brachytherapy in locally advanced cervical cancer. In particular, he investigates the synthesis of clinically relevant T2-weighted MRI sequences to improve target delineation and evaluate their potential value for treatment planning and dose assessment when MRI simulation is not readily available.
