Christopher Kurz received his diploma in physics from the University of Heidelberg in 2011. He successfully defended his doctoral thesis, carried out at the Heidelberg Ion Beam Therapy Center, at the LMU Munich in 2014. He then joined the Chair of Medical Physics at LMU Munich as a postdoctoral fellow, and in 2016 received a scholarship as part of the Mildred Scheel Postdoctoral Program of German Cancer Aid, which enabled him to spend two years abroad at UMC Utrecht in the Netherlands. Since 2018, he has been part of the research team at the Department of Radiation Oncology.
